Annoys more than it helps
Krafton has made the setup process very lengthy to show that it actually cares about gamers’ privacy but, most of these things don’t solve a real purpose. For example, you will be asked if you are older than 18 years or not but, there is no in-game process to verify that. Similarly, there are regular audio warnings within the game asking players to take regular breaks while playing Battlegrounds Mobile India but, it only annoys you.
Once you enter the game, the same voice reminds you that this game does not represent real life, and you should not spend long hours playing. And, it happens every time you start a match. It would have been better if these warnings came when players had crossed a certain time limit.
Familiar gameplay
Coming to the gameplay, the locations, graphics and overall experience is very similar to PUBG Mobile. The weapons, equipment and customisation options are also similar to what we have seen before. The map is similar to PUBG as well and contrary to reports, doesn’t have India specific locations. Now, it’s not like Krafton has changed everything. But, most things it did, we wish it hadn’t!
The first major change is that Battlegrounds Mobile India shows blood in green instead of red. There is an option to change colours but, not red. It kind of looks funny within the game but, guess we will get used to of it, just like so many other things. Also, the players shed leaves instead of blood when they are shot which is even more unusual.
The long-awaited Indian version of the popular PUBG Mobile game has finally arrived making a bunch of changes in order to comply with the Indian's government's requirements. The core mechanics and idea of the game remain untouched but there are several changes that make the gaming experience a lot different than the original game.
The most prominent one is the color of blood. It's no longer red, it's actually green by default and you can even change it to a different shade of green or yellow. Additionally, the kills are no longer kills. They are called "finishes".
Player data can be transferred
The good thing is that Krafton is giving the players an option to transfer their data from PUBG if they log in using the same Facebook, Twitter or Google Play account. The game now offers a lot more graphics option including Ultra HD and UHD. The latter is still not available and will be added soon.
PUBG MOBILE INDIA
Battlegrounds Mobile India is now available for people who managed to get a slot in the beta programme on the Google Play Store. Those with an APK file handy can also play the game. The Battlegrounds Mobile India is essentially PUBG Mobile with a few changes here, but, more importantly, it brings a legal (and easier) way to enjoy the battle royale game in India. Those who have been playing the PUBG Mobile global version by latching on to a VPN connection may finally stop doing that and come to Battlegrounds Mobile India. And that will need you to transfer your data from PUBG Mobile global account to BGMI.
It is a good thing that Krafton has not cracked down on people who were illegally playing PUBG Mobile by allowing them to migrate their data, but there is a caveat. You can only migrate the data from your PUBG Mobile account to the Battlegrounds Mobile India account by December 31, 2021. According to the pop-up notification in the Battlegrounds India game, transfers after December 31 will “no longer be possible.” Krafton is giving ample time to PUBG Mobile players to make a switch, and the way to do that is pretty easy.
